Terminal B and Optimal Information Security Services team up for Free Small Business Technology Seminars
Austin, TX- Terminal B and Optimal Information Security Services (OISS) announced today that they will be teaming up to host a series of free non-technical executive seminars in October entitled Effective Computer Networks for Small Business.
Terminal B Managing Director, Greg Bibeau, and OISS CEO, Rich Owen, will lead the presentations, which will cover important considerations for securing networks and leveraging information technology. Executives and business owners will receive best practice take-aways that can be applied to their computer networks immediately and they will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss real technology challenges they face in their businesses.
"At the end of the day the same methodologies used by Fortune 500 companies to leverage investments in technology can and should be applied to small businesses" said Bibeau. "Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for small businesses to underestimate the importance of proper technology controls and planning until a breach or a disaster."
Attendance is limited for these free 90-minute seminars, and those who wish to attend should email their intentions to rsvp@terminalb.com. The event will be held in the Auditorium of 108 Wild Basin Rd. on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, October 11 1:00pm
- Wednesday, October 19 6:00pm
- Tuesday, October 25 7:00am
Rich Owen developed the information security program for Mission Operations at Johnson Space Center, where he received awards for his Continuous Quality Improvement by the NASA Administration. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISS), a former International President of the Information Systems Security Association, and Vice President of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Central Texas Infragard organization.
Greg Bibeau has spent over 10 years leveraging technology as both a client and service provider in rapidly growing small businesses. Most recently Bibeau served as Vice President of Operations for Primus Networks, Inc, where he was responsible for overseeing the consultants delivering services to clients. Since founding Terminal B in 2004, Bibeau has assisted a wide array of clients, ranging from international not-for-profits to publicly traded companies, leveraging their investments in technology.
